I own the Lexmark P6250 which is just like this model, but has a slightly bigger viewing screen. I have been so impressed with this printer that I encouraged my parents to purchase this 4350 model because it is user friendly and "talks" to you -- plus, should they encounter any difficulty, I could easily guide them to a solution over the phone.
I've owned my printer for 2 years now and my parents have had this model for 18 months now -- no problems for either of us. I am pleased that my 75 y/o Dad who is new to computing can print, copy, and scan with ease. He is not the least bit intimidated by this printer. The flatbed has lit display guides indicating proper paper placement. The viewing screen visually cues you on how to perform various functions to include how to change the ink cartridges. This printer is SO user friendly compared to the Epson, HP, and Canon printers I have used over the last dozen years. This Lexmark printer is a very handy machine, sold at an economical price, AND is so easy to use!! I have had not one regret.

Broken at one year

This printer only lasted one year. At only 2 months past the one-year mark, the scanning & copying feature broke, failing to scan or copy the left side of any document. I called Lexmark's trouble shooting and customer service hotline, who determined that the printer indeed malfunctioned/broke by no fault of my own use. However, since the purchase was after one year (even by two months!), they were would not do ANYTHING to compensate for that loss. My replacement will certainly not be a Lexmark.

My printer is no longer working, So I called the company and gave them my serial number and model number, how about it comes up to another model printer. They reassign serial numbers to other printers. They are rude and don't stand behind their products.

I found this printer on CLEARANCE. Not kidding. I went home and did some research, wondering hmmmm why so cheap. After checking cnet and other sites, I went right back and scooped it up.
Pics print out awesome for an average photog like myself. Printing is fast, quiet and doesn't gulp ink. I haven't used the scanner enough to tell, but so far so good. Ink cartridges are VERY reasonable compared to other printers I have had.
Downside is, it's a bit big, and you have to switch back and forth between the photo and color cartridge and they are a little akward to get at and I forgot a couple times, which caused me to have to reprint. Plus is there is a little case and a space for the other cartridge you are not using build right in to the printer. Very handy and honestly brilliant!
I love that it "speaks" and tells you what it is doing and when it's done. I will print a big project and then go back a few mintues later only to find it's not done. The audible directions are an awesome bonus.
The little LCD screen could maybe be tipped up a bit, hard to see sometimes. The software is a bit lacking, but I can't complain for the price!!!!

Our first Lexmark was wonderful, lasting many years with no problems. Not this model; it has always jammed and now won't work at all.

To all you people out there with negative things to say about this machine, you people are so wrong, I bought one and the only thing wrong with it its, nothing, right now
the price its $99.99, when I bought mine it was $79.99 and
it works so good I'll never try another brand and certenly
not an HP, we got an HP at work and its a piece of s@*&^
we waste more paper with HP than I do at home with my Lexmark, when I run out of ink, I just instal a new one
and keep going about my buisness, with the HP every time
we have to align the cartridge, not with Lexmark and the pictures, aaahhh, very, very nice,,,so, I do recomend it
to anybody,,,

JUNK!

I bought this printer based on the other reviews. Well, either I bought a lemon, or my printing needs are drastically different than the other reviewers. Once I installed the printer, I ran a few test copies and they came out fine. I put in some invitations (which were just a slightly heavier weight paper) and the feeder kept eating the pages. I would put the regular paper back in, and it was fine. The paper I was using for these invitations was regular 8.5X11 paper that had a design on it. The weight difference was so slight (compared to blank paper) that I can't imagine why it would make a difference. I print a lot of things on designed paper and not having this ability was not an option. I even went in and tried changing the paper type, with still no change. This document feeder is flimsy, and the size adjuster was very cheap and ineffective at keeping the size. What a waste of time! If you print on anything beside blank white paper, consider another printer.

This is a really fine All In One Machine. To also print or copy in Black and White, just change the cartridge on the left with the black DOT to a number 32 or 34 and you have all you need to print, copy, scan etc in color and black/white. Just follow the manual. This as I said is a wonderful Machine.

please, please remember when buying this printer - you pay for what you get! yes it copies, yes it prints 65% of the time without giving you an error; had it for about 4 months, still haven't figured out how to get it to print only black & white if i want, tech support couldn't even tell me; as far as quality, I haven't tried printing photos because i didn't want to waste my photo paper - the quality of just printing and copying is lousy - it doesn't print dark at all! it has also caused constant problems with my computer - my computer will not shutdown if the printer is on - it will freeze up every time - if i turn the printer off first most of the time the computer will shutdown without freezing up - i even went so far to make sure it wasn't my computer - i uninstalled the printer and didn't use it with my computer for about 4 days, no problem with my computer at all - then i installed it again and have had constant problems ever since; my 90 days have passed so i can't take it back; i suggest pay the extra $50 for an HP and be happy with your purchase; this printer will only aggravate you beyond belief.
